2019 March – Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, England

Peng Yang visited Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, Britain’s national fusion research laboratory.  He learnt that if you put a doughnut into a fusion reactor, it can generate huge power!  When running at maximum capacity, Culhum’s Joint European Torus (Jet) reactor is the hottest place in the solar system. Read about nuclear fusion here.

InnoDC arranged to visit the fusion energy project, ITER, in France. Unfortunately, the visit was postponed due to the pandemic. We hope the visit will go ahead in 2021.
