2021 May – Wind Energy Science Conference, Hanover

Having attended the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC), Cork, in 2019, InnoDC was delighted to present its latest research at the 2021 event organised by ForWind and Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany.

InnoDC supervisor, Prof Nicolaos A Cutululis, moderated the session, Electrical Network Design & Optimisation for Offshore Wind, at which Gayan Abeynayake presented his work ‘Lifetime Estimation of dc-Wind Turbines considering mission profiles and thermal loading’.

Stephen Hardy presented ‘Offshore Wind Transmission Topology Optimization’, while Jovana Dakic presented her findings on ‘Optimization of offshore transmission’. She enjoyed the question & answer session, as received valuable feedback on optimization of transmission systems.
